I was so worried about the cost of an apprenticeship but it didn't cost me a penny! In fact it worked out better than College. I was paid, went to work and learnt so much on the job.

Scotland
In Scotland there are two main routes for funding available: Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS).
Depending upon the age of candidates, their fees may be covered by the government, and the employer may be eligible for a grant to help cover your costs. There is also the option for Commercial funding, where apprentices and employers can set up a payment to cover the costs of funding themselves.
Skills Development Scotland (SDS)
We work with Skills Development Scotland who help fund the cost of training for most apprentices under the age of 29, however there are limited spaces so if this is a route you would be interested in please get in touch.
Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS)
You may also be eligible for funding from the Student Awards Agency for Scotland. The ‘part time fee grant,’ covers funding for a significant amount of your qualification. We recommend this funding option for candidates 30+ years of age.
