Risk Assessing in Childcare Settings

Risk Assessing is a vital part of keeping a business healthy and safe for everyone. It is a legal requirement that must be carried out to find what hazards could cause risks and how. This course aims to help you learn ways to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment, while also aiming to develop children's sense of risk awareness and resilience.We will look at what a hazard is and how to identify them, the risks they can cause and how to minimise these as well as how to fill out a risk assessment form for various scenarios in an Early Years environment.It is important that all Early Years Practitioners (EYPs) are able to risk assess properly and be aware of the need to identify hazards and how to minimise these. This is because children are still learning and developing their hazard perception skills. This course is a great interactive way to learn the necessary skills to help them become more confident and able learners within a healthy and safe environment.
