The way adults behave around children effects them profoundly. A positive role model can be the most important and constructive figure in a child’s life.
This course looks at how important it is for adults to be positive role models within their setting, with an emphasis on reflecting on verbal & non-verbal communication skills. This course has been devised to support all staff working in the early years sector, such as those working directly with children on a day to day basis. It will allow carers to implement their settings policies and procedures when dealing with challenging behaviour.
- To have a better understanding of dealing with challenging behaviour
- What our roles as childcare practitioners are in the workplace
- How to implement behaviour policies, procedures & strategies
- Promote positive aspects of behaviour
When they complete the session, delegates will have a clear understanding of how to deal effectively with challenging behaviour. They will be able to employ different strategies that take into account the age, stage & development of each child.
Delegates will complete a general knowledge assessment at the end of the session, to help ensure understanding.
